About Me

Cultivating seeds of greatest!

I have a strong passion for teaching and mentoring students in the area of math and science.  I started my university experience as a music percussion major and eventually switched my major from music to engineering.  Right away I found myself immersed in math that looked like a foreign language.  During that time, the growing pains for me were immense until one particular math professor sat with me and showed me how to conceptualize and look at numbers in a different way.  That small 45-min office-hour session gave me insight into something I couldn’t see before.  Little did I know, that insight would quickly materialize to earn  A-grades in such courses as Calculus, Vector Calculus, Linear Algebra, and many others.  Inevitably, I would go on to complete my studies and earn my B.S. in Electrical Engineering Technology.  Following graduation, I spent some considerable time at a transit agency where I was promoted twice and received the presidents award for engineering design.  My interest in teaching math led me to Sylvan Learning Center where I received several promotions within two years which included becoming one of Sylvan center’s first SAT instructors.  Notably, my first SAT student received a baseball scholarship to Harvard University.  This being said, I would consider it an honor to connect with you to begin the process of cultivating greatness in your student!
